ABOUT CONNOR K. GILMORE

Connor K. Gilmore is a world class photographer renowned for his use of light and dark in creating immersive photography and exhibits. His treatment of everyday objects and scenes provide images that are fully recognizable, but also complete abstractions.

He holds a BA in Art and Art History from Stanford University, where he studied with world-renowned art historian Alexander Nemerov. In 2019, his groundbreaking work Migration was included in Stanford’s 6thAnnual Undergraduate Juried Exhibition, receiving wide acclaim. In the same year, Connor became a Stanford-distinguished Chappell Lougee Scholar, a scholarship that provided funds and research time to explore experimental image-making and exhibit techniques. With this research Connor invented the MIMESIS lightbox, the most advanced lightbox system in the world, to display his images with perfectly distributed luminosity in low-light environments. This system was unveiled as part of Connor’s debut solo exhibition, One Step From Infinity – A collection of photo lightboxes, at Stanford University in October 2023.

Connor’s diverse portfolio and cutting-edge technology make the perfect addition to any space -modern, historical, large, or small. His pieces can be found in many homes in California and Tennessee, in addition to various libraries, offices, and galleries throughout the US.
